Marmot Names VP, Design

Marmot Mountain, LLC. announced the appointment of Gregory Houser as Vice President of Design and Product Development, effective October 1

Houser was previously the VP and DMM of strategic planning and product development of L.L. Bean’s outerwear, technical apparel and men’s sportswear divisions, and worked with all aspects of Bean’s product development, design, sourcing and marketing. He also has prior product development management experience with Eastern Mountain Sports and Nike.

Houser began in the outdoor industry 18 years ago when he assisted his brother in opening a specialty outdoor store in Vermont. Houser stated, “Marmot was our premier brand then and it still is today. I grew up with Marmot. I am excited for the opportunity to address the Marmot global growth opportunities and to help drive its tradition of innovation into diversified outdoor products.

Marmot contunies to add to it's core line with great design and commitment to core product rather than watered down verisons that a couple of core brands have done these last few years and now have lost their brand appeal- need I say anymore.
